The Hornady 265 gr bullet is quite adequate for moose. Heavier bullets would be preferred if you handload. I'm partial to the Speer 270 and 300 gr bullets, but cast bullets are available too. Yes, you can. Both are built on the same action but the guide gun has a better (but not great) recoil pad which will make a difference. You might consider a pad or heavy jacket with that CB model.
