Tigweld,
I'll peene the extractor in, and keep an eye on the bolt for any issue. Good to know the bolt may be able to be welded if needed. So far so good.
Thank you for all your help again.

Re: Marlin A1 extractor removal instructions
Tigweld, I attempted my re build just from your photos--should have waited for your text. Got it desembled, and cleaned out. Previous owner must have tried a repair, and I figure lost a bunch of pieces while desembling. No original pieces were left in the whole bolt-extaractor area. They used epoxy ...

Re: A1 Extractor Help
Looking forward to your post. Maybe I'll finally get this thing shooting again.
Re: A-1
hunn40,
I just disembled an old a-1. Appeared to me that both springs are identical, but I'm no gunsmith. They are indistinguishable to me.

Re: A1 Extractor Help
Tigweld, Haven't check this post in several weeks, but yes I would appreciate you going through steps to replace the extractor. Did manage to remove all parts in the bolt, but previous owner?????, must have jerry-rigged in an extractor of sorts. Used thin cut metal strip, and some sort of epoxy. See...

Re: A1 Extractor Help
How do you actually get into the breech bolt to replace a broken extractor????? I have a new breech bolt handle (a1-6), and breech bolt handle plunger (a1-7) which needs replaced. While looking at how to remove my broken extractor, as well as putting in the new handle and plunger, I must say I'm stu...

Re: Marlin? Ranger Model 34A .22 Rifle
Tigweld, I have an A-1, but no parts. Just picked up the rifle from a gunshop with smithing service, who held the gun for 2 yrs. With no parts to be found the smith was unable to do anything with it. I am in need of a bolt handle, and well as some work to the mechanism which "resets" the t...
