I have a Marlin 30-30, early 60's. I made a bad mistake when the gun was stored and it got some very heavy rust. I'm sure it can be restored. Would it be best to send it back to the factory or try and find someone to repair it correctly ?

Having a rifle re-blued
I have some rust on a Marlin 30-30. I would like to have it re-blued, would it be best to send it to Marlin and have them do it, rather than trusting someone else?
