Yes it did come with factory sling swivels. As for how many there were, I can't tell you that.

Getting ready to sell my collection....

Got any suggestions as where to start??? I am going to do some clearing of my 20+ year Marlin collection. Not only do I have firearms, but paper goods and many rare pieces that I know I will probably never see again. My debate is, should I start with the rarest to the most common pieces, or start wi...

I tried Google search and found that Graybeard and Marlinowners are both down. I'm sure they will be back up soon.

Re: marlin 336-sc engraved

There is a post on inserting pictures with your post. Personally I upload them to a website that you can save pictures to. I use www.photobucket.com The website will allow you to save (or copy) a direct link to the picture, then paste it in after you click on the Img box above the text posting area....

Re: marlin 336-sc engraved

Marlin had 2 prototype 336 engraved rifles that never made it to production. Neither of the engraved versions had animals engraved on them. There was a German and a Spanish engraved prototype, in which the Spanish version was left unblued, or white and the German version is blued. I know that there ...

Re: Marlin lever action 1888

Mark,

You do have an 1888. Marlin produced 2 top eject rifles, 1881 and your rifle. The 1889 has the side eject.

Re: Marlin 1936

That is an excellent 1936. The flaw you are showing is repairable. You might be able to steam out the dent. The case coloring is also excellent. You have a a $600 to $700 or more rifle.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Marlin 1936

If you can post some close-up pictures of the receiver, barrel, stock and forearm. A full view picture of the rifle is a help also. If it is as you have described, I would have jumped at the chance to own another model 1936 Congrats!!

Thanks!

Re: 1894S 44-40

There are many bolt action .22's that Marlin made, so it makes it difficult to give you an accurate answer. If you can post a picture or email one to me, I might be able to help.

Re: 1963 Marlin 39 ADL

I don't think there were any special markings on the barrel. The only difference that I know of is the carved squirrel.
Rick Regnier can tell you much more than I can on the 39ADL. Give him a shout.

I'll see if there is any other information about them and let you know more.

Good Luck!

Re: Value Marlin 4-10

You've come to the right place for information on your shotgun. What you need for assessing a value, is the shotgun's cosmetic quality ie. finish on the wood, the bluing and case hardened color on the metal. Functionality is also a factor, which it sounds like there are no problems since you've been...
