Marlin Plant Closing
Was just reading on another site that Marlin will be closing their plant in Conn., putting 265 people out of work and moving to another state.Does anyone know if there is any truth to this or is it a rumor?

Re: Marlin Model 120 Shotgun
Thank-you for the reply,Regnier.Very interesting.Have a few more questons about the Model 120. How long was it manufactured? How many were made? What barrels lengths were available? Was it available in any other gauge than 12 gauge? 6,984 does not seem like a lot of shotguns made with a 40 inch barrel....

Re: Largest Calibre in Any Marlin Lever Action Rifle
Seems to me that the .56-56 Spencer was a rimfire cartridge. If so then that would make tha Ballard rifle available in both rim and centre fire.If so, this is something I was not aware of. Guess I am getting a little off track with this thread and should really be asking these questons on the Ballard...

Marlin Model 120 Shotgun
A number of years ago a fellow I knew had a Marlin, I am pretty sure it was a Model 120 with a 40 inch barrel.Just wondering what the reason was that Marlin made a shotgun with so long of a barrel? Also does anyone have any idea of how many of these 40 inch Model 120 Marlins were manufactured?
