Stuff For Sale or Trade

Post by Dave Woods »

This is Dave Woods. Back in the 90's I used to restore Marlin Levers, and Pump
rifles.
I was always a fixer upper. New "minty" guns bored me to death. This Hobby
turned into a "sort of" business. Is long as I loved doing it, I may as well get
paid something even though nobody can truly afford to pay for the hours you
have to put in to do the job right. This lasted for about 6 years till' the BATF
made it too hard to re new my FFL. However, I got to see and work on every
variation of lever and pump rifle Marlin made between 1881 and 1935.
I still have some parts left mostly for the .22's.

Although Brophy states that the Model 25 pump for .22 short and C.B. Caps was
made for only one year, 1910, I have three variations that prove it was made
well beyond that. I'm up for selling or trading

Hi Dave,

I am always looking for a few parts. Particularly at the moment I am chasing screws for 1897, 1894 and 1892's.

In addition a carrier and rocker for a 92 in 32 Long Colt, as well as an ejector would be real handy. I've got home made ones that work quite well but originals would be awesome.

A toggle style rocker to suit an original 1894 in 32-20, or the whole carrier would make me a happy camper.

An 1897 extractor, I only have a home made one until I get my hands on a reproduction or fashion another one.

Forearm screws for 97-94.

Forearms, buttstocks.

Let me know what you've got. I'm just starting to accumulate a few old Marlins and love the things.

Thanks, Justin

Hmm, not sure where my reply went to?

Anyway, hi Dave.

I'm always after a few parts, so I'd be interested to chat if you have any of the following:

1897 Extractor
1892 32 Colt carrier and rocker
1892 32 colt extractor + ejector
1894 original rocker (toggle size) for 32-20
Forearm and buttstocks
Screws for any of the above models, I need a few forearm screws in particular.

I've been recently grabbing a few old marlins when they come available and now have an 1897, 92 long colt and two 94 32-20's. Would like to add a 93 in 38-55 if I can find one. Lovely old guns.

Dave, if you have a tenon for the tip of the mag on a Marlin 1892 in 22 caliber, I need one. Its the one just below the muzzel of a 26" barrel.

Dave,
I have an old '81 that is in need of some internal parts. It was a very nice .40/60 cal. rifle in in its day. The bore isn't the best any more but I think it would be fun to get it back to where I can use it with black powder loads.

If you have any of the following parts left that you are willing to part with please e-mail me. We should be able to come up with some agreement. I have had this rifle for several years and would like to get it back in operation.
28: lever spring
19: front set trigger spring screw
20: front set trigger spring
29: lever spring screw
49: sear
50: sear pin
51: sear spring
Any of these parts will be a step in the right direction

I pulled this list from a old copy of the "Firearms Assembly" put out by the NRA with a 1993 copyright, pages 101 & 102.

Dave
I just picked up a 1965 model 39 Mountie. I'm looking for a front sight hood, and filler screws for the receiver when I take the scope mount off.
Please catch me at gk2410@gmail.com
Thanks
Greg
