None available, unless you get really lucky and find one on Ebay on rare occasion. I have built them from later model loading gates that are more available. It's been a long time now, but I believe I tried an 1894 Marlin gate and it was wrong. I took an 1893 style gate, and shaped it down to fit the 1888 opening in the receiver, and made it work just fine. There's enough length and width to reduce it and make it correct.

Are the threads the same pitch so i can reuse the original screw? Any caliber specific loading gate to use over others?

Screw is the same. The 1893 didn't have caliber specific loading gates. Not sure if the 1888 did either?

From the pictures I've seen online, it look very similar to 1893, just cut down and with a smlaa lip or tab on the front.

Yes, if I recall correctly I had to remove length off the gate size, and I removed it on the rear edge towards the screw.
