I have some rust on a Marlin 30-30. I would like to have it re-blued, would it be best to send it to Marlin and have them do it, rather than trusting someone else?

Depends on what year it is. The caliber doesn't tell us much, and I've heard Marlin only works on certain guns less than 50 yrs. old.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
