Model 39 Serial #'s for 1956

Post by Rastus »

Can anyone tell me where to look or what the beginning and ending serial numbers were in the year 1956 for the Model 39?

I'd like one that's the same age I am...

Thanks,
Ken

Ken;

If you want a Marlin Model 39-A made in 1956, look for one that has the letter "N" as a prefix to the serial number. The letter "N" was used for all Marlin's with serial numbers made in 1956.
Good luck...........
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

Thanks for the information on the "N" prefix. That should help me cull out the pretenders ! ! ! !
