New member ( joined yesterday) but been looking for a few years.
I have a 30-30 passed down through the wife's family and need help with it so here it goes.
Stock: varnished walnut,straight not pistol grip.Butt plate is plastic with Marlin logo and white spacer also has Bulls Eye.
Reciver: Square bolt, Marlin Safety on top. Square lever with no blueing anywhere on lever. Reciver retains 90% blueing.
Top tang has star and Marlin model 93.
Bottom Tang has star and serial number 2265 NO prefix or sufix.No other markings on the reciver.
Barrel: 20" round barrel with hooded ramped front sight. Rear sight is what I would call semi buckhorn with adjustable bee
Screw on the right side.

It's neither. It's a "Frankenstein". A Model '93 rear half that someone rebarreled with a Model 36 barrel. Still a great gun to shoot, but no collector value anymore.
