Rutgerssmith;

Sling swivels were a special order item for any model Marlin rifle. There are some examples of factory installed sling swivels on the Model 1892/'92 around. There is a photo of one on page 187 of the Brophy Marlin book.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

I've owned various pre WWI era Marlins with sling swivels, or sling eyes. No way to know if either were factory, as they rarely if ever letter. But they were all old enough to be period and either factory ordered, or added when the guns were newly purchased. I think these old slings on early Marlins are very neat, just because we rarely see early leverguns with slings.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
