1893 Octagon Barrel

Post by Road King »

Hi everyone. I just discovered in the back of my gun cabinet an octagon barrel that I have had for a long time. It is new old stock in .38-55, 26" barrel. What is puzzling to me is the measurements. The muzzle is .6460 and breech is .8800. This seems lighter then the standard 1893 barreled guns that I have and does not match the barrel measuremrnt in Brophy's book. The barrel address has the hyenated Fire - Arms barrel address.
Looking for input. ???
