.356 Winchester Power Point bullet opinions?

Post by hoser »

Sorry, I'm not a reloader yet but have a .356 Winchester coming. Winchester still manufactures loaded .356 Winchester ammo with 200gr Power Point bullets. What is your opinion of the bullet for wild boar, elk and moose? Too soft?

Speer hot-cor comparison?

How does the Power-point bullet compare to the Speer hot-cor? Which would you choose for wild pig, elk or moose?

I DON'T THINK YOU GOT ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT WITH THOSE 200GRNS. I USED THEM ON A WHITETAIL, SHOT HIM IN THAT WHITEPATCH UNDER HIS HEAD AND THE ONLY THING THAT HELD IT THERE WAS A SMALL PIECE OF SKIN ON THE BACKSIDE. THE BIGGEST THING IS KNOWING WHAT THAT BULLET IS GOING TO DO AT DIFFERENT RANGES, BULLET PATH. AND SHOOT, SHOOT AND SHOOT SOMEMORE. KNOWING THE GUN IS EVERTHING.
