1888 32/20, 219 zipper
Just wondering how many of these fine rifles are still out there? Maybe we can take a poll? 1888 is a top eject.

Re: 1888 32/20, 219 zipper
Hello Folks!
I have a Marlin Model 1888 in 32-20 caliber. Serial number 23xxx. In 90% plus condition All original. I bought it from a friend for 100.00. The gentleman who sold it to me is in his 50's and was either his Great grandfathers or Grandfathers gun. From what he could remember his family bought it brand new in late 1889. Too bad their is not more information/forums on the model 1888 as I have searched the web for hours. Thank you. Mike

Hey Mike give you $200. Double your investment. Sometimes it pays to be in the right place at the right time.

Mike, That is about what I paid for mine (1888) twenty years ago. Wondering what your last three digits are? Mine in is 23575.

Hey, thanks for the replies folks....
Mine is SN 23809.
Anyone have any idea what these rifles are worth?
Thanks again.

Dependant on condition they can be quite valuable. Last 1888 I saw for sale was over $1000.
