I'm new here as a poster but I think it odd that the hottest topic on this forum is "What has happened to MarlinOwners.com".

I don't understand.
Why don't we all discuss Marlin's here. I have never been a member of a forum that has so many views but so few replies.
It's winter, can't shoot'em much so lets discuss them...I have cabin fever so excuse me if I am out of line.
I have almost given up on this forum.
Well maybe that's why there is such an interest in the Owners forum being down.

Hugger, I may be wrong here, but maybe the discussions you're looking for are on the Marlinowners forum. As you can see by the name of this forum: Marlin Collectors Association, perhaps the people here are more interested in older rifles and trying to find out information. I really don't know the answer, it's just my .02 worth. I do know the guys here are very knowledgable on their rifles though!! I think for the time being some Marlin is better than no Marlin while the MOF site is down. We all have Marlinitis bad and this is one place to get a fix!!  Hopefully MOF will get things straightened out and they will be up and running solid next time. Mr fixit

Gone again. I understand they may have gotten attacked while trying to change systems. Just hope when they do get it back it hasn't lost all the old posts. I know they are working on it but no idea when it will get fixed. (Just a note I have not had to delete a single *beep* post since this site has been updated.) Hope when we get the other one back it is the same. Thank you webmaster.

Well...I am also interested in older Marlin rifles and come here looking for information. I am always willing to share what I know and like to learn more everyday. I don't see what that has to do with it. I guess I am used to a more active and vocal bunch. I have two affictions, Marlinitis and Mossbergitis and came here hoping to expand on my Marlin collection and knowledge of them.

Sorry for asking, didn't mean to offend. just hoped to stir it up some and get people talking. 8)

No offense taken or meant hugger, as I said it was just my .02 worth. I've noticed also that this site "seems" to be slow in responses, but whatcha gonna do? I drop by from time to time to see what new questions and discussions are taken place, but MOF is what I consider the home base. Mr fixit

Hoger, I think any time one of the Marlin sites goes down, we are not happy about it. I post here, reference my collecting and review often for infomation on the antique firearms, but I also cruise Marlinowners.com for the modern firearms info and levergunlovers.com for the lively comentary and debate. Not surprised that my friends and those who post on several forums do an occassional post when a forum goes down. Really relevant here when they got attacked as they were doing a change over to a new format, something this forum successfully did. I hate to see the attacks and hope they will be up soon. Randy

Hugger:

I think the interest in the MarlinOwners forum is due to the slow participation of this forum. As was said earlier the members seem to be more interested in the older Marlin’s. If you look at the post on this forum even the older firearms do not get much activity. I really do not understand why because this is a first class Marlin forum.

I participate in this forum but it awful slow compared to MOF.

Lets keep posting here and maybe things will pick-up. Lets hope so. It’s fun to talk Marlin’s new or old. I have posted two pictures recently but neither has had any activity on the forum good or bad.

I heard that the board crashed when doing some minor tweaking and they are working at fixing it.
