Trail Rider 30/30

Post by Trail_Rider »

A friend of mine has one of the above mentioned..... So far we have not been able to find out anything about it.
It is little over 38" long from stock, to end of barrel with TR000944 stamped on it. There is also a metal emblem of a horse with a rider on the stock, along with deer carvings(sp) above the lever.

TIA.....

Trail_Rider;

The rifle in question is a Marlin Model 30A made for the Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company (OTASCO) in 1980. OTASCO called it the Model 3080. OTASCO made a number of these commemoratives over the years.
I hope this helps.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

I think Regnier means OTASCO had Marlin make them, not that OTASCO made them.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
