A short question.
I recently purchased an 81DL (bolt action tube magazine) .22 rifle. I've received the exploded parts list from Marlin and checked to ensure all parts are present. When operating the bolt, the carrier does not depress low enough to pick up a new shell from the magazine tube. After I took the stock off to get a better view, I realized that the base of the round in the tube is hitting the carrier when the bolt is fully forward and locked to fire. I purchased and installed a replacement carrier (thinking that old carrier may have worn and not be cammed down far enough by the closing bolt) and this did not solve the feed problem. Does anyone have experience with this problem that can give a bit of advice?
