Could someone tell me if the camp 9 is safe to use +p ammo in.

Marlin Camp 9's are not rated for +p ammo.

Not to deffer from this ," THE BEST MARLIN SITE" , but you might try marlinowners.com for the answer to your question, as it is geared more toward the newer models and if I remember correctly it has a camp 9/45 forum.

Not without a Blackjack buffer upgrade - along with a Wolff 16.5 pound recoil spring to replace the Marlin factory 11 pounder. Then, shoot +P+ until your ears rings without hurting the camp gun at all. It is one tuff lil rifle - especially with these 2 upgrades.
