I previously posted this in the Shotgun section. Anyone??
I recently purchased some 2.5" low pressure RST shells to shoot out of my Model 21. This gun is a recent purchase and this was the first time I was going to fire it. I had previously used a snap cap in the gun to check some of the functionality prior to purchase and everything seemed fine. The bolt would not lock with the RST shells, however. As this happened today, I have yet to try any other low pressure shells in the gun. I was curious to see if anyone else has had a problem like this and exactly what ammo you use in your Marlin pump. I'm not sure if the issue is the gun or the choice of ammo.
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Marlin Pump
Tommykid, I have a model 17, a 19 and a 30 that I shoot. Prior to shooting I put them thru the safety tests posted on www.marauder.homestead.com
Everything checked out ok and I shoot Federal target loads thru these guns without any problems. My biggest trouble is that t he forearms are fragile, I tend to overly slam them forward in hunting situations. My son makes utility forearms for me, the originals stay home. Good luck!!
