Model 78?
My dad has aquired what he says is a Model 78 chambered in .270. I can't find anything on a "Model 78". Any help? Or has he somehow misread the number. Thanks in advance
Re: Model 78?
The only "Model 78 rifles" that come to mind, that were centerfires available in .270, were the Remington M78 Sportsman econo-boltgun and the Browning B78 Single-Shot Rifle - in addition to the rimfire Sako M78 .22's, of course.
Marlin did offer several different "7" models of centerfire bolt guns over the years, in .270, the latest of which is the XL-7 - he might have one of those, or an older MR-7.
