Marlin 30-30

Post by Cecile »

I have a Marlin Fire Arms Co. New Haven, CT 30-30 lever action inscribed with three patents Oct 11, 1887, April 2, 1889 and August 1, 1893. The serial number appears to be 212403. I was wondering if there is a way to determine the date of manufacture? It also has someone's initials G.S.B. inscribed by the sight and Special Smokeless Steel inscribed on the barrel.

Any help would be appreciated

Cecile;

Records show your Marlin Model 1893 was shipped from the factory in New Haven, Ct. in late 1900.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
