Model 81receiver sight
Afternoon all, I am new to this form and have just started collection Marlins. It all started at a show here in PA two weeks ago. I have always loved old rimfir rifles and this (little) Marlin spoke to me.It seems to be an early model without a grooved receiver. It seems to shoot well but these old eyes can't use the open sights. Not wanting to drill and tap I thought a receiver sight would improve the scores. Midway said they had a sight butit wasn't close so I start the hunt. Any help from the Marlin savy gang here? Thanks for any help. Regards Rook

Rook:
The proper Lyman receiver sight for a Marlin Model 81is the model 57MR or the Marlin 12R is another. You might check eBay as sights do show up there from time to time.
Good luck........

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
