I’m looking to purchase another 39A. The serial number is B2***. When I look it up on Blue Book it shows to be a 1940-1941 model. But it also says this model was case hardened and the one I’m seeing is blued. Actually very good condition with front sight hood. Does not appear in anyway to have been refurbished. My question is if with this serial number could it have been originally blued, and come with front sight hood?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Marlin 39A Question
Likely just a good job of refinishing. They didn't come blued with a B prefix.
