Marlin 1889

Post by Bethsman »

Just wondering year and stats on my 1889. It is 44w 1889 with serial # 93647 with a 22 inch barrel and front site is only half inch from crown to center of dovetail. I am assuming it has been cut down ,was just trying to figure out how it started. Bore is pretty much worn out so was thinking about sending it to north Carolina for relining considering it is already ruined from original. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bethsman;

Your Marlin Model 1889 left the factory in New Haven, Ct. in late 1893 with a 26 inch octagon barrel in .44-40 caliber.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
