Westpoint Cotter & Company model 33

Post by Fivestardsm »

Hello, I'm new to the group, and am searching for information that may be available.
I recently acquired a house brand marlin that is designated as a Westpoint model 33 for Cotter&Company model 33 30-30.
From a few gagle searches, I have learned it was a 10 year production from 1959 to 1969 by marlin, for the Cotter & Company. Turns out that Cotter&Co was the predecessor to Tru-Value Hardware.
So like the Montgomery Wards western field, this is a House brand marlin 336.

I am trying to find any resources for the actual year if anyone has any info to share on how to figure it out.

Tia, Steve
