I recently looked at a lever action a fella has that claims it is old and I’m not as well versed in lever guns as I would like to be.
It is jm stamped, looks like a 336 and has seen better days, although the age possibly intrigues me. It is chambered in 30-30 and has a serial under the lever of K11843. I would love to know and before I leave it has a round barrel and not octagon. I would love to know what I am looking at because I would like to take better care of the firearm than it currently is being taken care of.
Thank you

Stevenminix;
The "K" serial prefix indicates that this Model 336 was manufactured in 1953. Otherwise, not much else we can tell you without a more detailed description, such as barrel length and magazine length.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
