Mod 25
I have a 22 rifle, the Glenfield Mod 25, made by Marlin Firearms Co. Shows New Haven Conn USA as home of Marlin. There is a number stamped on it which may be a serial number of 69276056. Can anyone tell me when it was manufactured. If it is the gun I think it is, I used it in the 1950s but one online entry said they started the Glenfield line in the 1960s. Any ideas?

Re: Mod 25
Sorry but this would not be the same rifle you used during the 1950s. The serial number of your Glenfield model 25 indicates that it was made by Marlin in 1969. I have one of that model that was made in 1972, and I was pleasantly surprised by its accuracy. Hopefully yours is a shooter as well!

Re: Mod 25
So I have inherited a Glenfield Mod 25 with serial number 71363xxx. I remember shooting this back in the 1970s so would the date code be the first two digits of the serial number?
