Brynesey;
Need a little more information to help determine the approximate manufacturing date of your Marlin Model '94. Since the serial number is under the lever, we will figure it was made after 1921, but before 1935. Now, is the barrel marked Marlin Firearms Corporation or Marlin Firearms Company? Do you see a small, six pointed star on the upper tang, near the model marking? Is there a bullseye in the toe of the butt stock?
More than likely, since the serial number does not have a letter prefix, it will probably be close to 1921 as to when your grandfather's gun was made. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Regnier,
Thank you for your prompt response to my question, I am sorry it took so long for my reply.
My Model 94 barrrel is marked "Marlin Firearms Co." There are no additional markings on tang or butt of the rifle.
However I did find a stamped marking below where hammer strikes fireing pin. It appears to be" TT".
Looking forward to your reply.

Byrnesey;
Since you found no other markings on your Marlin Model '94, I think it would be safe to stay with the original statement that the gun would have been made pretty close to the 1921 date.
