Hi all,
I just bought a Marlin A-1DL yesterday, and noticed it's missing the front sight hood. Does anyone know where I can find one? Numrich doesn't have any, nor does anywhere else I looked. Thanks for any help!

The Marlin A-1 DL is an early gun, made prior to 1950, so it utilizes the early, round top style sight hood. They are available on eBay all the time, and run in the $10.00 range most of the time.
Good luck........

I thought it was the old round style too, but apparently those won't fit. I need one with a little tab in the middle of each side, like this:

Unless this is the old style you're talking about?

That is not the sight hood available on eBay, but with a little modification, the ones on eBay could be converted to work. Chances of finding one like the one you pictured will be slim, unless someone here has some extras. If it were me, I would get one off of eBay, modify it to work until I found an original. At least that way, things "look" correct for the time being.
Good luck.
