I am looking for an original carbine style buttplate,the type that fold over on top lost mine years ago and need to replace it,they seem to be exceptionally hard to find.any body know anything?

All I can tell you is keep checking Gunbroker and Ebay every day. They show up as used parts at both venues occasionally, but need to be diligent and keep checking.
