Model 1881

Post by Road King »

Anyone know a supplier for finger lever latch spring for the Model 1881? Wisner Gun Parts no longer supplies them.

Brian;

Check with Larry Osborn. I sold him some parts back in May, and there were Model 1881 parts there. Cannot tell you if there was a lever spring there or not.
Good luck.......
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Still looking for 1881 lever latch spring. Have tried, Larry Osborne, Wisners, Outback Gun parts, Gun Garage, Numrich, Bobs Gun Parts.

Reluctant to pay $75 for this part on eBay.

Wisners used to have them for $35 or $40. They just haven't got around to making anymore.

Will try any suggested suppliers if anyone has suggestions.

I think fair price would be $45 to $50.

Had some good luck this weekend at a gun show . Vendor had a box of Marlin parts and digging through it found 2 lever latch springs. Sold them to me for a couple bucks each. 🙂 Pays to get your fingers dirty once in a while. I had some screws that fit. Rifle's lever no longer sags.
