Glenfield/Marlin model 50

Post by rrc »

I have a Glenfield model 50 with the squirrel on the stock. The trouble is I can't find any info showing a Model 50 as a semi-auto, just bolt. Mine is semi.Any info would be appreciated

I guess I'm not sure if it is odd for a Model 50 22lr to be a semi-auto. I only see it offered for the Model 60 with the squirrel stamp on the stock.

RRC;

I can find only 2 references to a Model 50. One is Marlin's first semi-auto .22 caliber rifle manufactured between 1931 and 1935. The other is a Model 50 Glenfield 12 gauge shotgun manufactured between 1966 and 1979.
Is there any way possible for you to post photos of the rifle and the barrel markings?
Sometimes, items of the Glenfield line were promotional items and not cataloged, which makes determining some guns quite difficult.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
