My marlin ballard has serial number 32541. Any ideas of year?

With a serial number that high it should have a rollstamp on the left side of the receiver that reads, "Marlin Firearms Co." as earlier "JM Marlin" marked Ballards stopped around serial range just below 10,000. The highest known Ballard rifles are in the 37,000 range in 1891, so I would guess yours will be around 1889.
