Marlin limited edition westpoint model GA 22

Post by dokey »

I just picked up a Marlin Limited Edition Westpoint model GA22 semi-auto 22RF and would like to know when it was made, and it's collector value if any. It has a medallion inletted in the R/S of the buttstock that reads " Limited Edition Great American Game Series"

Dokey;

The GA-22 Westpoint, Great American Game Series guns were made for Cotter & Company of Chicago, Illinois. The rifle is the same as a Marlin Model 75C, and production of the GA-22 started in 1983. There were several different versions and production numbers, depending upon which medallion you have. There was a squirrel, raccoon, fox, etc.
The value of these guns is no different than any other Model 75C, as these private brand guns just do not seem to catch on with collectors.
I hope this helps.

Homebrks1;

According to your serial number, your rifle was made in 1991. The is no information as to how many of the Raccoon version of these West Point "Great American Game Series" guns were made for Cotter & Company of Chicago.
