model 94 serial number
Hi guys, newbie here...my LGS has a Marlin model 94 in 32-20 with serial number 311110 that I'm considering buying. Can someone please date that serial number and possibly an estimation of value? It's not in great shape cosmetically, but it's fairly tight and action seems fine. TIA!

A Marlin Model '94 with a serial number in the 311000 range would have been shipped in about 1904/1905. Unfortunately the record for that serial number is blank, and the numbers in that area show both dates.
Value of any antique firearm is determined by rarity and condition of the original factory finish on the wood and metal. Without knowing these conditions, it really is not possible to give an accurate estimation of value. A range of values for a gun that is "not in great shape cosmetically" would be from $300.00 to $800.00, all depending upon the condition.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
