Marlin 336 sc in 35 rem, serial # 090536_ _. When would it have been manufactured. Ive seen the different methods but 1999 doesnt seem right.

There is a bit of a problem here. TheMarlin Model 336 SC or Sporting Carbine was discontinued by Marlin in 1963. The seial number you provided indicates the receiver would have been made in 1991, not 1999. Now, there was a Model 336 CS made in 1991, so this may be what you have. The CS indicates your carbine style gun has the cross bolt safety that Marlin started adding to guns in 1984.

Ya I meant 91 not 99, hmm Ill have to look into that-dont have gun in front of me but thanks
