Thanks for the nice pictures! You've probably already figured out that the tang sight is for the Winchester 63 right?
I like the old cans and ammo too. The Marlin seems to be in decent shape, and although used, it's not abused as many were.

Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
Hello again marlinman93,
Yes, I was told last night by Regnier that the Lyman sight went to a early model Winchester self-loader, makes sense it would go with the mdl 63. Thanks for confirming that! Should be a nice setup with the sight mounted!
Any idea where I can get some sight setup/adjustment info? As far as height elevation, how and when to use the small/large apertures?
Thanks for the info!

If it were me, I'd simply mount the tang sight and go shoot it. Looks like the rear open sight was removed in the pictures. It should be close to "on" if the adjustments haven't been disturbed. If you aren't hitting at 25 yds, move in closer to find the direction you have to adjust in. For elevation- moving the aperture upwards will raise the point of impact, moving it downwards will lower the point of impact.
Generally, the smaller apertures are used for target shooting, and the larger for hunting purposes- the larger aperture admits more light.
